Paul Orndorff-Before Wrestling

Mr Wonderful, Paul Orndorff took great pride in his athletic ability long before he ever thought of getting into wrestling.

His pile driver was noticed quickly along with his intensity and skill.

The NWA is where he got his start and thats where he was recognized as a great talent and brought over to the WWE.

Paul Orndorff-WWE

Paul Orndorff broke into the WWE in 1984

He was good enough to be able to associate himself with the likes of David Shultz, Roddy Piper and Bob Orton.

He ws eventually deserted by those he was fighting with and then was quick to form a bond with Hulk Hogan.  Eventually Orndorff double crossed the WWE champion Hulk and this resulted in one of the hardest fought rivalries in the history of the WWE

Him and Hulk ended up fighting bitter battles all over the world and not really getting much settled.

Eventually Paul Orndorff left the WWE and it was never known if he would be back.

Paul Orndorff-His Return

After Paul Orndorff was gone for a while he finally reappeared.  With him he brought Sir Oliver Humperdink to manage his career.

The first thing he did when coming back to wrestling was reconcile with Hulk Hogan and ended up being on his team at the survivor series.

Suddenly in 1990 Paul Orndorf appeared in the WCW.  He plowed his way through the WCW until a serious neck injury forced him into retirement in 1996.

After his recovery he ended up being the head trainer for WCW and their Power Plant.

Mr Wonderful finally retired for good in the year 2000.

The night before Wrestlemania 21 Paul Orndorff was rightfully inducted into the WWE hall of fame to put an end to a long and lustrous career.

His rise and fall is much more dramatic than this would suggest. If you ever want the real deal behind the "robe", let me know. As long as you don't mind making some enemies and exposing some skeletons. For example, he hurt his arm in a match in Canada and blames one wrestling icon for the injury. It seems he was so doped up.....well you get the idea.
